✈ FAA Part 107 Certified | 🛡 $2M Liability Insurance | 🏆 3× Arizona Reader’s Choice Winner | 📍 Serving Las Vegas Metro
Las Vegas presents unique aerial challenges that most drone companies aren’t equipped to handle — complex Class B airspace managed by Harry Reid International Airport, frequent Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) during major events, and strict Clark County permitting for certain operations. Desert Drones has the FAA Part 107 credentials, airspace coordination experience, and commercial-grade equipment to operate professionally throughout Greater Las Vegas.
Harry Reid International’s Class B airspace covers much of the Las Vegas valley. We use the LAANC system for instant airspace authorization and stay current on TFRs from major events — so your project stays on schedule regardless of what’s happening on the Strip.
Las Vegas’s hospitality sector has world-class standards for visual content. We produce cinematic aerial photography and videography for hotel properties, resort amenities, golf courses, and hospitality developments that meets the visual bar Vegas clients expect.
Las Vegas is in an active construction cycle — from major resort expansions to master-planned residential communities in Summerlin, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. We provide recurring progress documentation for GCs and developers who need reliable weekly or monthly aerial records.
Las Vegas clients have high standards for video production. Our FPV drone pilots deliver cinematic, high-energy footage that matches the energy of Las Vegas’s entertainment and marketing ecosystem — perfect for promotional content, social media, and brand campaigns.
Las Vegas is a market defined by hospitality, entertainment, real estate, and construction — all industries with strong drone service needs. Desert Drones operates throughout Greater Las Vegas including Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and the outlying suburban communities that have seen explosive residential growth.
The hospitality and entertainment industries require aerial content that matches the visual production quality of a world-class destination. Whether it’s aerial photography of a golf course property, a resort renovation, a concert venue, or a new hotel development, we produce deliverables that meet agency and marketing department standards.
Las Vegas’s real estate market is highly competitive, with luxury properties in Summerlin and MacDonald Highlands requiring aerial photography that showcases mountain backdrops and community amenities. High-rise condo development, commercial real estate in the Business District, and large-scale industrial parks in North Las Vegas and Henderson all have active aerial documentation needs.
One important note: The Las Vegas Strip and the immediate area around Harry Reid International Airport is a no-fly zone for drones. We do not operate in this restricted area. For properties and projects adjacent to (but not within) the no-fly zone, we can often work from legal operating positions that still deliver excellent aerial perspectives.
Las Vegas is the global capital of hospitality. Resort properties, hotel developments, casino expansions, and luxury amenity renovations all require professional aerial photography and video. We serve hospitality companies, property management groups, development teams, and marketing agencies with cinematic aerial content that communicates the scale and quality of Las Vegas properties.
The Las Vegas residential market has seen sustained growth, with luxury communities in Summerlin, MacDonald Highlands, and Henderson attracting buyers from across the country. Aerial photography is essential for showcasing mountain views, golf course surroundings, and community amenities that differentiate high-end listings. We serve residential agents, commercial brokers, and development companies throughout the Valley.
Las Vegas is in a sustained construction cycle with resort expansions, stadium developments, data center campuses, and residential communities all in active phases. Desert Drones provides construction progress documentation, orthomosaic mapping, and milestone photography for GCs and project owners operating in Clark County and surrounding areas.
Nevada’s solar incentives and high irradiance make it one of the strongest residential and commercial solar markets in the Southwest. We perform thermal FLIR drone inspections for solar arrays across the Las Vegas valley, providing panel-level anomaly reports that identify performance issues before they become costly failures.
Las Vegas hosts some of the largest events in the world — Formula 1, UFC events, major conventions, music festivals. Aerial coverage of events and venues requires careful coordination with city, county, and FAA authorities. We work with event management companies and PR firms to produce aerial content from legally approved positions, coordinating all permits in advance.

No — the Las Vegas Strip falls within approximately 1 nautical mile of Harry Reid International Airport (Class B airspace at surface level) and is classified as a densely populated area with frequent Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) during major events. Commercial drone operations on the Strip are not permissible under FAA regulations. Desert Drones does not fly in this restricted area. For projects near the Strip, we can often capture excellent perspectives from legal operating positions outside the no-fly zone.
Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is surrounded by Class B airspace that covers much of the Las Vegas valley. Commercial drone operations within this airspace require FAA LAANC authorization. Most of the developed Las Vegas metro falls within the Class B footprint, which means virtually every commercial drone job in Las Vegas requires LAANC or manual FAA authorization. Desert Drones obtains all required airspace authorization before every job — we handle the FAA paperwork for you.
Yes. We provide aerial coverage for large-scale events, including conventions, concerts, outdoor festivals, sporting events, and corporate functions. Event drone operations in Las Vegas require coordination with the venue, Clark County, and FAA — particularly during major events when TFRs may be active. We handle all permitting coordination and work within approved flight windows. Contact us well in advance (at least 2 weeks) for large events.
Yes — Desert Drones serves all of Clark County including Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, Enterprise, Spring Valley, and Pahrump. Areas outside Harry Reid’s primary Class B footprint often have simpler airspace requirements that allow for quicker scheduling.
Commercial drone operations in Las Vegas require FAA Part 107 certification (all Desert Drones pilots are certified) and LAANC airspace authorization for Harry Reid’s controlled airspace. For operations in Clark County parks, a Special Use Permit from Clark County Parks & Recreation is required — Clark County has designated 28 parks where drone operations are approved. The City of Las Vegas bans drone operations in city parks. We handle all permit coordination for our clients.
We serve Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and all of Clark County. Professional, insured, FAA-certified.
From resort properties in Henderson to construction sites in North Las Vegas, Desert Drones serves the entire Las Vegas valley with FAA-certified commercial drone services. We typically respond within 2 hours.
